Resupply in mammoth lakes

Well I made it into mammoth this morning. It was just a short 2 miles to reds meadow where I jumped on a bus into town for 7$. I just missed the first bus which had about 15 hikers on it, so I had to wait a half hour for the next one and rode with only 3 other hikers. Due to a lack of funds from spending too much at Vermillion valley resort (they are a bit of a rip off but I was hungry!) I am only getting food to past me the next 2 days and then hoppin back on the trail. It’s raining and cold today so it makes maneuvering around town a bit less pleasant. Looks like I will not be showering or laundering here; will have to wait til tuolomne meadows in 2 days. Mammoth is pricey! Thank goodness they have a free public transit system. I just finished eating a delicious pastrami sandwich and a cup of coffee at the deli/bakery. Good but pricey. I also got a donut for dessert 🙂 vons is next then back on the bus to Reds meadow to camp for the evening if not too pricey. 900 miles done!!! Woohoo! Love and miss you all. Will be sending notes from tuolomne for the last week. Hope everyone enjoys the next week.

Congratulations! Reds Meadow is spectacular-of course, I did not walk there, nor see all of the amazing sites on the trail before arriving. Enjoy. You look as beautiful as ever.
